FRIDAY, HELLO

hi there.
coffee & cookie for breakfast; a good way to start the day.

as of this day, i am a mere 95 photographs away from 1000 flickr favorites.
i know i have gone on about it before but it's true -- sometimes i'll be going about my day and one of my favorites will pop into my head making me smile, think, pause, cry, create. i really like these photographs and these moments captured by people i don't know. they are so ... human.

here are my favorites for today {pulled from the archive for a 'goodbye summer' send-off} --
.393. ::: heirlooms ::: summer 2 ::: today's thrift ::: DSC_5624

i will be spending a bit of time this weekend revisiting a favorite: ball-saal. lots of new stuff there. speaking of end to summer ... gosh i love this.

i wish you well for the weekend, friends.
until ... mav

I also LOVE your coffee-cookie picture today - that mug and cloth - nice. :)

i so agree with your comment on how human photos can be and how they can make us feel connected to absolute strangers. this librarian has often wondered what your methods are for finding these favourites- do you browse flickr randomly? search on specific tags? look mostly at your contacts' photos?

Love your thoughts on flickr favourites. It is such a privilege to be able to take a sneak peek, sharing how others view the world through their lenses.

mav,
The paradise island by Sebastian Doerk simply just reminded me of the sulptures by the sea done by Andy Goldworthy.
