beautiful stones! the texture looks almost like chocolate. i spent hours walking on the beach collecting when i was a kid. still do love collecting them...

I was born on a Scottish island and spent my early childhood there, there is something very special about islands, this is a beautiful photo.

i finally had to start putting some of my rocks back into the gardens where i have lived as movig them from place to place was becoming a heavy chore!
have you ever seen cross rocks?
i think you would love them (they look like little x's. my dad put us to work helping him find them when i was little)

do i collect bits of nature? i have to remind myself to look up when i am on the beach because all i do is look for treasures at my feet. i keep pots and pots of beachstones and glass to remind me of the place. hope you are enjoying the same kind of days.

I used to go around as a kid and search for fossils in rocks near rivers, lakes, or on gravel roads...I found quite a few, but don't know what happened to my collection! I'm sure it is stored away at my parent's house somewhere!
