BIG n TINY

for dear sweet mav....what could be more uplifting than baby feet. here are coy's feet...hard to do without a point of reference but they are so long! newborn socks? HA! 0-6months...barely.
the first week and a half are going well. i feel like i have recovered quickly from my surgery and the beginning tough days of breast feeding are behind us. we're trying to find a routine but not pushing things. i haven't found much time to work but have stolen a few moments here and there to check emails and the occassional blog read. my mom came and left. we had a lovely visit. lots of time just sitting together and watching movies or chatting.
on the blog front...i am in awe of alison's honesty in this post. i do believe you need to take your birth experience into your own hands. i am so thankful for amanda's book recommendation. thanks amanda...it was my guide.
and finally on the thank you front: wow! to all the sweet and amazing comments welcoming McCoy to the world and me to motherhood. J & I are just in awe of the generosity and kindness of those around when a new baby is born. thank you all.

I have been madly photographing all those little shots of feet, ears, noses, hands, fingernails - all those wonderous things which are your baby and which you long for down the track as they get older.
I am so glad you're enjoying it all, and taking it slow, and just being.
I will start planning Pia's first meeting outfit soon :))
