INSPIRATION ... A TINY BOOK

hi friends.
the only thing i want to say today is ... scroll down past this post and look at the photograph of the tiny belly on arc {posted in her entry from yesterday}!

arc: i hate to bring more attention to you girl but you are SO CUTE!
i'm so happy when i look at that photo.
so so so so so ... happy.

oh and just quick inspiration today ... yesterday i read this beautifully sad and quiet book: Tony Takitani.
not only is it gorgeous in its form {letterpress printed cover & endsheets!} but it is such a great little inspiration. this summer i am finding myself immersed in reading in a way i have not been for some time. it's grand losing myself in bits of other artists' creativity. and there is a wonderful illustration on the opening page of the book by anne fasion. her work is breathtaking. she applies it to pillows, bags & tees at eleventwentyfive. i'm going to save some pennies up!

until tomorrow ... good day!

you must see the film version of tony takitani and let me know how they compare. i saw the film and ever since have been curious to read the book. but usually i think things should be done the other way.

Beautiful duo, Mav.

The book looks lovely! The story, with a preface by Hurakami is also in this season's ALL STORY - an incredible magazine.
